Editor's Letter

Hello there! It’s me, Sinae, your friendly neighborhood CEO.

We recently celebrated 10 years together! A Thank you is in order (yes, You!) for the love, support and genuine kindness through the years. Without you, we would not be here. So, with more than a few God-given miracles and a healthy dose of experience under our belt, we dare to dream of an even better era for us and for you!

To begin with, we’re starting 2026 with the bold theme to align our passions, our responsibilities and our talents. We want what we do, what we say and what we wear to impact people in a meaningful, positive way. With the start of a new year (and new decade) and a new season launch, there is no better time than now.

Warmly,

Sinae Kim, CEO & Founder

Sadie & Sage's Mission

At Sadie & Sage, we believe clothing should be more than just something you wear — it should mean something. A favorite dress that holds a memory. A top you reach for when you want to feel like yourself again. A piece that fits not just your body, but the rhythm of your life.

Our mission is to create clothing that’s made with intention, worn with joy, and rooted in purpose. We design each collection with storytelling in mind. These are thoughtful pieces meant to live alongside your moments, both big and small.

In a world that moves fast, we’re choosing to slow down.
 To produce only what’s needed.
To make space for intention over excess.
And to offer collections that feel personal, not disposable.

Because the clothes we wear every day deserve as much thought as the moments we wear them for.

Our Journey Towards Sustainability

At Sadie & Sage, we know the fashion industry has a lot of work to do, and we're not claiming to have it all figured out. But we care deeply about doing things better, and this next chapter is our way of making a change.

With our wholesale boutique partners we only produce what’s been ordered. This helps us reduce waste, avoid overproduction, and slow things down in the best way. Every piece is made with purpose, and every order helps us stay true to our values.

We're also making thoughtful improvements behind the scenes — from our manufacturing partners to our packaging — and while we’re still learning, we’re proud to be moving in the right direction.

Thanks for being part of the journey. We’re so glad you’re here.

Our Values

At Sadie & Sage, we believe fashion has the power to uplift — to connect, to express, to care. Everything we do is rooted in that purpose. From the pieces we design to the way we show up in our communities, our values are stitched into every part of the brand.

Empowerment

We’re here to help women feel seen, strong, and like their fullest selves — not just through what they wear, but how they wear it. We celebrate individuality, confidence, and creativity in every form.

Community Care

As a woman-founded brand, we’re deeply committed to lifting up other women — especially those from marginalized and under-served communities. We partner with organizations to provide clothing for survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking, and meals for those experiencing homelessness. It’s a small part of how we give back, but it means everything to us.

Environmental Responsibility

We’re in the process of becoming a better brand — one that puts the planet at the center of how we operate. While we’re still learning and evolving, our move to a pre-order model is a major step forward in reducing overproduction and waste. It’s not perfect, but it’s progress — and we promise to keep you informed every step of the way.

Giving Back to the Communities that Inspire Us

Sadie & Sage has always championed giving back to its community, and since 2018 we have channeled our surplus inventory towards supporting vulnerable communities, including but not limited to individuals experiencing homelessness, at-risk youth, survivors of sex trafficking and domestic violence.

In 2018, we had the honor of partnering with Keeps Boutique to provide new, in-season clothing completely free to teen girls in the foster care system throughout East Texas. Though we’re no longer actively involved, we continue to admire the heart behind their mission. At Keeps, every girl is treated to a personalized shopping experience, guided by loving volunteers who help them find outfits that make them feel confident and seen. Each girl can try on as many pieces as she likes and choose 6 items…for Keeps! To learn more about Keeps Boutique click HERE.

In 2023 we partnered with Qualified, an organization whose mission is to empower survivors of sex trafficking and those at risk of being trafficked to identify and pursue their dream vocation. They help create the path for a life of financial and physical independence by providing occupational therapy support, life skills, career training and mentoring programs. In 2024 our CEO Sinae Kim joined Qualified as a member of their board. To learn more about Qualified click HERE.

How We Reduce Waste, Everyday at Sadie & Sage

The fashion industry contributes a lot to waste and all of us making clothes need to do better. Here’s what we do everyday at Sadie & Sage to minimize waste.

Our design and merchandising team reviews each style to ensure it has a purpose in the collection and can be worn seamlessly with other pieces - most of the designs are able to be dressed-up or dressed down so it can also add more value and wearability for your life!

Our domestic production manager continues to source and find new partners for us to produce as much as we can here! For the rest of the styles that we do import, we have committed to shipping more than 95% by ocean freight rather than air freight, which emits 15 to 42 times more greenhouse gas.

Our warehouse and logistics team reuses cardboard boxes, ships orders complete, and minimizes the use of packaging materials. Any leftover cardboard is recycled locally.

We partner with our beloved retailers to produce all styles on a pre-order basis. This means our inventory is backed by real wholesale orders. Styles and inventory available on this website are hand selected in small batches based on wholesale sales (essentially feedback from over 1000 professional retail buyers across North America. If you’ve been following along our little journey, you know we even tried to offer our styles by pre-order to you on this site in 2025. But with deep consideration for the relationship we’d love to make with you all, we are thrilled to be able to offer a small batch to you!)

This may be redundant but it’s more concise→ Order backed Production - every style here has been vetted by over a 1000 retail partners - we only produce once we have real orders in hand, and we only tag on a small batch of inventory to carry on our retail site.

The biggest impact we make is by having detailed checks in our production and ordering method to reduce fashion waste.
